Couple of Thoughts on the BB team

First, if Grant Williams is 6'5, then Admiral Schofield is 6'3. My guess is that Williams is taller than 6'5. They were standing next to one another at one point in the Auburn game and Williams looked at least 2 inches taller than Schofield.

Second, Bone and Turner can both be frustrating, especially at the end of games, but man can you see how those two are going to improve when they are more experienced, and we have to remember that Bone is behind the rest of the freshmen because of his injury. Bowden also is an outstanding young talent. And focusing on them isn't to downplay Phillips, who also is a talented player. We are going to be really good in the backcourt the next couple of years.

Third, for this team to rise to the next level in the future, we really need a 6'9 to 7'0 version of either Williams or Schofield. I like Alexander, but I don't see the certainty of improvement that I see in Bone and Turner. Maybe Fulkerson is that guy with some weight. After all, before his injury, we were talking about him the way we are talking about Williams. And if Fulkerson, Williams, and Schofield can rub off on Walker (assuming the Vols are getting good news today), we'll be pretty good in the frontcourt. If Alexander can improve a lot before February of next year, we could have all the right pieces.

Fourth, you can see where Barnes is putting together the pieces. If Yves Pons selects the Vols, that replaces the Hubbs type guy and we are still not at big as we need to be, but we have decent size, very good athleticism, and some great go-to pieces at Guard, SF, and in the post.

Five, I think Barnes has put to bed the issue of coaching. We have one of the best coaches in the SEC. And if they keep on this streak they are currently on he should be SEC COY.
