Check out the video below. 4:40 into the highlights is the long TD pass that put Arkansas ahead and changed the entire momentum of the game. Arkansas had just scored to start the half, and we had predictably gone 3 and out right after.
WTF happened on this play? The line judge throws the flag as the WR is catching the ball a good 2-3 yards from the sideline but immediately signals Ark TD not 5 seconds later? I didn't get to see the ensuing review, but I'm assuming it was about whether or not the WR stepped out? One replay showed a clear push off from the WR (50/50 Off PI?) about the spot the flag was thrown, so that could be why the flag was thrown in the 1st place. Was that even mentioned? Was the official call on the field TD or penalty? Because if it was TD, then we got hosed twice on the same call thanks to the wishy washy official.
