Having a discussion with some friends regarding importance of the position groups and, of course, we've had some slight disagreements. I'm a believer that skill positions on offense are dime a dozen type guys. Sure, there are difference makers to be sure but I'll maintain that if you have a great OL and a great QB, you can make productive RBs and WRs.
So I'm curious how people would rank position groups in order of importance. I'll go with:
1- OL
2- QB
3- DL
4- DB
5- LB
6- P/K
7- RB
8- WR/TE
Maybe we can get out of the rut of talking about firing Butch, missing recruits, replacing position coaches, losing to Vandy, etc for just one thread.
