Eventually it’s going to be a new version of the SEC and Big Ten working outside of the realm of the NCAA. This means that both conferences can actually be disintegrated and reformed to include only the top 40 teams in the country and leave out teams that really do not have an interest in pursuing excellence within the conference such as Vanderbilt and Northwestern.
