was brilliant. All of our fans weren't on board but think about it... with the investigation in full gear, he went with a coach who brings excitement with his offense. With the mass defections and rival coaches keeping recruits away from us with the negative talk, he needed to bring someone in who would at least put a fun product on the field to watch. We were predicted by most preseason publications to finish just ahead of Vanderbilt in the east, but Heupel exceeded those expectations. It's looking like our punishment will be minimal if anything. We now have one of highest-rated quarterbacks we have ever landed coming in to guide this exciting offense. This is an offense of opportunity... a showcase. High school wide receivers with aspirations of playing in the NFL one day can come in and put-up monster numbers in the best conference in the country. Same with tight ends. Running backs are going to have gaping holes to run through while defenses are scrambling to cover all those WR's and TE's Nico is hooking up with down the field. With big numbers comes attention and victories. I bet you that big time offensive linemen all over the country will want to come in and be part of it too. As far as defense goes, we're not going to have to have a 2021 UGA-type defense. You need lock-down defenses when your offense sputters from time to time. We only need ours to be average to above average in my opinion. Get a few stops and turn those into TD's. That formula will win quite a few ball games.

Just a very brilliant, well-thought-out hire by Danny White. You can see why he was ranked as the 4th-best AD in the country before we hired him and why UCF fans hated to see him go. You know you have a good one when that is the reaction.
