Extend Butch's contract but hold out on a raise. Butch has assembled some very good and proven recruiters but as sure as the sun rises, you know other coaches like Dabo, Kirby, and Muschamp will be saying he won't be here past 2017. A contract extension puts this to rest. 2017 just wasn't our year, but it's hard not to see that we're heading in the right direction after back to back 9 win seasons and 3 straight bowl blowout wins. We don't have the instate recruiting base that Georgia and Florida have but it is in the neighborhood of the state of Alabama and is catching up. Butch has the tools and personnel to take us to the next level. He just needs time.
