The was a job description, with a specific criteria, which was met in her eyes. The decision was vetted and most of the people involved bought in. The candidate had a strong resume, checked all the boxes and knows the university. While i know half of the uproar is pure horseshit, most of it is unwarranted. To me, it just sounds like we have a chancellor who takes their job seriously and doesnt spend her time eating boogers and cancelling Christmas.
