While hunting this afternoon with @UTJay , I fired and connected on a nice deer right at dusk. I felt I made a good shot, even though it ran off. We circled around and found a blood trail.
I began trailing the blood splatter, and he went straight to the woods in the direction the deer ran. He says he saw it sitting down in the woods, and then cut his light, and says we should go back in the morning, so as not to spook it.
I think he may be trolling me, because I want to go get that bitch now, and risk spooking it. He says no.
Fellow deer hunters, what say you? Go back in the morning, go back tonight, or what?
