Admittedly, I don’t follow things as closely as I once did... so be easy if I have obvious errors.

SDE: Solomon, Mincy
DT: Butler, Williams
NT: Gooden, Harris
Jack: Taylor, Johnson

* We have a few more bodies here than I originally thought. I’ve always thought Blakely was a good player who just needed a home. At 280+ he could help. Greg Emerson isn’t listed in the two deep simply because I don’t know if he’s shown enough to be there yet... if he reaches his potential he’s certainly a contributor. Garland, Simmons, Allen, Bumphus, and Middleton aren’t listed either, and they have potential to earn reps.

Sam: Johnson, Bennett
Inside: Reid, TooToo
Inside: Bituli, Ignont

*Crouch looked better than anticipated in the spring game (learning a new position). If we could get him playing better we could slide Bituli out to the edge more often... and we need better edge play. We are short on bodies here. Peterson and his “injury?” Kept him off the list.

CB: Taylor, Shamburger
CB: Thompson, Burrell?
N: Buchanan, Thompson
S: Flowers, McCullough
S: Warrior, Jackson

*My favorite position group on the team. I believe Taylor and Thompson are first round good one of these days. I would love to unseat Buchanan, but he’s a good player who makes the most of his abilities. If we are able to shuffle a more athletic player there, the defense would be much better. (Not slamming Buchanan either)

*Warrior needs to get his collective shit together and be the big time player he should be. I’d love to see a Robert Ayers type season from him...

*Having athletes like Shamburger and Jackson not in the starting 5 is big for us. There’s a lot of competition on the backend and we should see a great year from this group.

*Fields, Bailey, Davis, Labruzza are 4 guys not listed who could scratch their way into the 2 deep.

*Gibbs getting eligible would be huge, obviously. Makes me wonder who gets kicked out of their job...
