Can you believe the talent level of our defensive ends? We start with the dynamic duo of red-shirt senior Curt Maggitt and Sophomore Derek Barnett. And then right behind them is the outstanding duo of freshman Kyle Phillips and Darrell Taylor . Phillips looks like a clone of Barnett. And right behind them at LB we also have a freshman in Darrin Kirkland Jr. and Junior Jalen Reeves- Maybin. At all these positions we have a good mix of upper class and talented freshman players the like that we have probably never seen before. I know that Butch is delighted to have such good young talent on his team. And he's not going to hesitate to play them even though they are freshman and sophomores. I know that If I had the choice between talent and experience I would take talent every single time. I know that in the past an average player with experience would get dibs over a player with talent. Not so with Butch!
