Demontez had the opportunity to workout with Playmakers Academy yesterday and had a decent outing. Pretty strong arm but lacks to the touch to place certain balls at times. Needless to say he will be moving to DB next week. He was told he has the perfect frame and build at 6-2 200lb to play in the secondary. A text I received this morning from a "High End" Coach stated....
"Hey! Yes I think he can be a hell of a DB on the next level. I'm excited about him. He has great size!" Demontez was good with that and looks forward to the challenge. He played safety as a Freshman but we will see where he fits best in the secondary.
On another note, I hope he gets to work a ton with JoeJuan Williams. They have very similar builds with Williams having more Bulk to his frame and can fly! He's very physical with his hands in man coverage and has very flexible hips which allows him to change directions quickly. Kid is as advertised. I told him Butch is waiting on him to arrive after Christmas break! He just laughed.
