Personally, I think it is weak to release him. They drafted him but caved to pressure. No way they weren’t 100% aware of the incident and all that came with it. Hell, the kid wrote a letter to all 31 NHL teams before the draft explaining the incident. I guess the fact that the victim’s family feels like they never got a direct apology and went public with that was enough for Coyotes to release him
