I know that our coaches know what they are doing and they can measure body fat and strength, etc....
And while, he was a guy that couldn't play enough snaps last year and couldn't always get off a block on pass plays, etc.......
But he was also a guy that could absolutely cave in the entire line and stuff a play at the same time. I saw him do it against Georgia and South Carolina last year. Our run D was most always better with him in the game. Some of that was early on with both he and Shy in together.
I feel like DO is probably ahead of where he was last year due to not being suspended and seemingly more locked in on football. But still, just really surprised to hear fairly lukewarm prognostications on KM this year.
I would think that he could be a force at 320-325 but may never be a guy that makes a lot of sacks or huge negative plays for offense, but as a guy that stuffs the middle and creates some 1yd TFL's would be very valuable, vs. trying to make him into something he isn't as prepared/built to do.
Just something worth discussing. I guess we will certainly see how he looks with the lights on Thursday.
