Did we recruit Van Jefferson?

Was it our lack of recruiting him or did we do our best and he just chose to go elsewhere? Wasn’t his Dad coaching the Titans at that time? I just can’t remember his recruitment. Seems like a miss on our part....I assume attributed to Butch.
