A couple of interesting things I wanted to comment on.
I re-watched the Va Tech game about 2 weeks ago. Noticed that Kongbo played DT early in that game, in fact he was there on the play where Va Tech fumbled and 22 recovered to start our comeback. Also, D Taylor played early reps in that game.
Also, in MCB, I saw Paul Bain in the game early on, in a series when it was still 0-0. He did well too. He sure looks like a help in there. I only made it through til 14-0 last night, so don't know whether he played much in the second half.
I had meant to comment on this before regarding Kongbo playing DT early in the year, but then allegedly refusing to "move" later in year. Did he just not like being in there? Was it just motivation to get him going....all that dialogue of him not moving?
Just food for thought. It seemed that when the meat of SEC season got going, we had less and less faith in those back up DL guys. Maybe that was based on game tape of what they did in their reps. Taylor against Missou sure looked like he needs to learn to come off the ball more aggressively to me.
