Do we sign too many receivers?

Since 2012, we have signed 19 players that we recruited primarily as receivers. Additionally, we moved Juaun Jennings to receiver after a short stint at QB. In contrast, Bama signed 11 receivers over that same time frame. I know that there is no set formula for how many players we should sign at any given position, but signing 3-4 receivers per year seems like overkill & a recipe for kids leaving due to lack of PT especially for a team so devoted to emphasizing the run. During the same time frame, the numbers at linebacker are almost exactly reversed as we signed 12 linebackers to their 19. Given our lack of talent and depth at LB, I'm left wondering if we spend too much of our recruiting resources on trying to find the next Carl Pickens & not enough trying to find the next Al Wilson.
