I know it isn’t the biggest deal in the world, but long term it would be great if Tennessee was thought of as a perennial top 25 ranked team. Would help with recruiting down the road. We’ve been ranked for about a month straight, and I’d like to see us stay ranked.
Currently #21 and lost at Missouri. Other notable loses for ranked teams include:
#7 Witchita State lost twice this week, to SMU and Houston.
#8 Texas Tech most twice this week, to Texas and Iowa State.
#16 Arizona State lost to Stanford
#18 Kentucky lost twice this week, to USCe and Florida.
#19 Seton Hall lost twice, to Creighton and #11 Xavier
#20 Clemson lost to #15 UNC
#23 Michigan lost to Maryland
#24 TCU lost to Kansas State
#25 Miami lost to # 5 Duke
As for those outside the top 25, I’m guessing Florida jumps in and past us.
