Sorry but this is long.

I got really sick back the first week of February and after thinking about it, I have started wondering if I might have had coronovirus. I was as sick as I had ever been in my life and that's saying something. Here some of the things I suffered from.

As I have posted several times on VQ I had a 4 week bout with asthma and I thought I might smother to death. It easily was the worst bout I had had since I was a pre-teenager. You could hear me breathing anywhere in the house. Three days after I got sick my girlfriend got sick. She too was sick for over 4 weeks. She says she hadn’t been sick more than a couple times in her life and she also said this was the sickest she had ever been. She had never had any breathing or lung issues yet she struggled breathing the whole time, saying it felt like she had a load of bricks on her chest. We both had really bad coughs but no sore throat. We also struggled with diarrhea the whole time and I lost 12 pounds the first couple of weeks and she lost quite a bit as well.

We both just completely lost our appetites. I have a deviated septum so I can’t smell anyways, but she lost her ability to smell. I ran a slight temp but hers stayed around 102. I finally broke down and went to the doctor but she wouldn’t go. First trip they gave me a steroid shot, a shot of antibiotics, and a 5 day countdown of antibiotics. They checked me for flu and that was negative. 4 days later I’m still not better so I go back. This time they gave me a Z-pack, and Doxycycline Hyclate. After taking these two for a few days I began to recover.

How would I have gotten it. After watching tonight's news it appears China has lied (shocker) about when the first case occurred and it appears now it was all the way back to November. About 10 days before I became ill, we had gone to O'Charley's and ate. Sitting behind us were two guys from Spain. We had talked back and forth a little so as they are leaving they stop by our table and explain they had just arrived here in the US. They were going to be working here for a few weeks. So could these guys have been infected? Getting it in early Feb. would seem wrong if not for talking with these guys. My immunity system has been garbage my entire life after 2 bouts with rheumatic fever as a child. My girlfriend's immunity which is normally very good, was really weakened after losing her mom on Jan. 1st. She had taken care of her mom at home, and over the last 3 months she averaged 2 hours of sleep per day. So in January she was so tired and weak it was obvious.

After researching the Doxycycline Hyclate I saw it was also used to treat malaria. Could this plus the Z-pack possibly have the same healing properties as Hydrochloroquine and Z-pack which they are now testing?

So is there any possibility that we may have had this? What are your thoughts?
