checkerboard look? UK fans claim it's due to KY being known for horse racing. I don't know a lot about horse racing but I though the checkered flag was used in auto racing. Never seen one used in horse racing. I don't guess it really matters but that to me would be like UT trying to take the houndstooth look and use it. Heck no. Can't believe UK would want to use the checkered look when it's one of the the icons of UT football.
