in certain years like it's a foregone conculsion?
Something like "We'll win the East next year and then obviously will be in the NC game the year after.......So, who wants another Moon Pie?" as if it's written in stone just because we have a good team.
We were supposed to be untouchable in 1996 and lost 2 games (the annual blowout embarrassment to UF and an ungodly mindnumbingly inexcusable loss to Memphis). In 98 we weren't even supposed to make it to Atlanta and in 1999 we had the 2nd best team talent wise we've ever had and lost 3 games and almost and should have lost to Memphis again.
I have no idea how this year will go since you can't consider us a surprise candidate anymore since everyone is picking us but just because we have good players doesn't win mean we automatically win. Every other team with the exception of Vandy and KY (although they are better) has just as good of players as we do.
