jibe well with our decision to play Alabama every year? Is our yearly goal to play a great game vs Alabama or try to make it to the SEC Championship? At this stage of the game it puts us behind the eight ball from the get go every season. It gives us an automatic loss and makes winning the East a more dicey proposition.
If we want to extrapolate ourselves out into the national playoff at some point (yes, it's a stretch) it could possibly require two victories over the Turd in the same season. Just not the best way for Tennessee to achieve its goals of playing in the SEC Championship and a high national ranking. And yes, as a 50 yr old I have been glued to the 3rd Saturday in October for about 43 years now, as long as memory serves. I realize this topic has been beaten to death but here it is again. This topic has zero to do with fear of Alabama but everything to do with return to prominence.
Watching Oklahoma back into the playoff and NC games every few years is frustrating because they have not been one of the best teams. But we don't have that luxury because of our schedule and the year in year out game with Turd.
