Does UT have the best fan base in college sports? Is Neyland Stadium the toughest place to play?

Two separate questions but pretty compelling. I really don’t think many schools can travel like UT does in football. It’s incredible. UGA comes to mind. They travel really well (Notre Dame a few years ago, LSU a couple years ago) but they have been really solid so if we were in their position, I know we would bring a ton to those places as well. Seems like we brought a million people to Jacksonville for the Gator Bowl. Going back and watching all of our past SEC title appearances, it is insane how many Vol fans are in the building. Even the 1985 Sugar Bowl. That was incredible. That is four decades of incredible fan support. I definitely believe we are the most loyal and would have to call us the best as well. Sure, there are bad parts of our fan base (everyone has them) but pretty remarkable how the fans have been infallible when the product on the field hasn’t been very good at all in some years. Also pretty cool that we had the best college basketball home attendance for men’s/women’s combined in the country this past season when both squads weren’t that great. Shows how much passion is there.

And I’ve never heard anywhere as loud as Tennessee/OU in 15. I thought UT/UGA in 13 and UT/UF in 16 were amazing atmospheres as well. I’ve been to Texas A&M for the UT game (top ten face off), Alabama/UT in 2015 (when we should of beat them), LSU/Florida in Death Valley this past season, and Auburn/UGA at Jordan-Hare. I just don’t think those places have Neyland’s roar. I’m biased though. LSU would have to probably be my pick behind us. And they would probably out drink any fan base haha.
