Flying from ATL to BHM with a plane full of sad Bama fans. Lady getting on the plane went right up and cut in front of everyone with her dog that had a vest reading, "emotional support." I thought she needs and "awareness" dog because she just cut off everyone and seems to not care. Looks on everyone else's face was clear what they thought.
But in all the Lord's humor and grace...sure enough my seat mate is, Honey. Sitting in front of the lady in 11E (next to my 11D.) have already had a bone in my lap, she climbed into my seat, 4 inches of her tongue on my knee, her nose in my pant leg & a bit of peanut butter on my pants.
I finally looked at the (maybe 30 yr old) lady and asked if she was a Bama fan and she said, "no, why do you ask?" I highlighted the obvious that she needing emotional support. She did not find the humor in it.
Two rows behind us was a little poodle in one of those plane dog prison bags. Two dogs barking at each other ever few minutes.
But if this is the definition of "Delta Comfort" tonight. I am getting at least a moment...
And the rest of the plane is full with the, "well we will get it next year" Bama crowd.
Do have pic of the dog, but on mobile and not posting.
Footnote: I did ask the lady what she has to do to get a dog with that designation and she said a note from her doctor and a few forms. Told me airlines can't charge her any additional cost as it is against the law. This dog was like a small lab, and spend most of the flight all over me.
