Full list out on Friday. Cam at 21.

It’s that time of year. With preseason camps opening across the SEC, it’s time for our annual preview of the league’s top 25 players. We'll continue the countdown through the week until we get to No. 1 on Friday.

i
25. Arkansas DL Deatrich Wise Jr.

It's astounding how many SEC pass-rushers could go in the first round of next year’s NFL draft. Names like Myles Garrett, Jonathan Allen, Derek Barnett, Charles Harris and Tim Williams come to mind. But did you know that Wise is in that mix as well? He may not have the name recognition yet, but he’s got the repertoire as a pass-rusher. Just look at last season: He didn’t start a game, yet he finished with eight sacks, six of which came in the final three games.

i
24. Ole Miss DL Marquis Haynes

OK, so he’s a little undersized. But watch Haynes rush the passer and try to make the argument that 222 pounds doesn’t work for him. It does. He’s only played two seasons and he’s already tied for fourth in school history with 17.5 career sacks. And, hey, with a little more weight on him, he might be even more effective.

23. Alabama RB Bo Scarbrough

But before we get carried away, we should note that Scarbrough hasn’t played much. In fact, he wasn’t even the No. 2 back last year and he hasn’t technically won the starting job. But those around the program believe it’s only a matter of time before the Tuscaloosa native is the featured back.

i
22. Missouri DL Charles Harris

Yawn. Just another stud Missouri defensive lineman to fawn over. Just another Tiger who could go from under the radar to the first round of the NFL draft. We’ve come to expect this by now, right? From Aldon Smith to Michael Sam to Markus Golden to Shane Ray, the list of star linemen to come out of Missouri is long. Now it’s Harris’ turn. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound junior already led the conference with 18.5 tackles for loss last season.

i
21. Tennessee DB Cam Sutton

Somehow, Sutton has never not started a game at Tennessee. Three seasons, 38 games, 38 starts. And he’s been the best defensive back the Vols have had for some time. In addition to returning two punts for touchdowns last year, he moved into a tie for fourth in school history with 32 passes defended,
