I realize that nearly the entire last 7 years the cross division rivals have been brutal, as has the timing for many of the Vols' games (multiple difficult games in a row). In many ways, this was the worst year ever.
IMHO, they should move to the in-division record is the first determination of who goes to the SECCG. That having been said, next year the Vols have a pretty even (though difficult) schedule - switching up KY and LSU really made a difference here.
