"People ask me why my son chose Tennessee when he had so many other opportunities closer to home?? He said he wanted to play in the south because they have the best fans in the country. When he chose Tennessee over Alabama his reasoning was he wanted to be a part of building a program back and have that as a lasting legacy. When my younger son chose to give up scholarship offers and attend Tennessee as a walk on at an expense of $44,000 per year out of state tuition it was because he wanted to pursue that same journey with his brother. There are a lot of upset fan bases across the country and nothing will ever stop the bitter negativity and harsh words. It's crazy to continue and try to post encouraging words when it is so easy for individuals to show hate. Such a pitty that two young men that came from a small town of 2000 are instructed to not read the newspapers, don't go on social media, keep your head down and Block out the hate when it means so much to them and their supposed to be living the dream. These kids will be practicing for the next four weeks, not going home for Christmas, so they can play in a bowl that many publicly say is a joke. National media is making fun of them...That's their job... not ours!"
