This isn't a knock against Pruitt, it's just that he's still learning on the job and still has a lot to prove.

Financially, the optics would be bad paying all the current buyouts, but investing in guaranteed winning football would outweigh those losses very quickly. There is a guy who has ties to Tennessee and (supposedly) said this is his dream job. For over a decade, we've shown we're scared to do what it takes to win, but there is a Saban-esque opportunity available to go get a guy that has proven he can beat the best teams in the country if we're willing to go get him.
