For those that were thrilled with Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC, can you remind me

how this helps Tennessee. Does this help Tennessee in the area of recruiting? Just look at past history. Look at the inclusion of Texas A&M and their recruiting. But Tennessee never goes up against them anyway. Oh wait, I forgot. Look at where Texas currently is in recruiting and this is after a terrible year on the field. Right now Oklahoma is in transition but still top 20 but does anybody think they won't be consistently top ten in the SEC. You can no longer sell kids that they shouldn't go to those schools if they want to be in the best league since they will be in the best league.

Will the inclusion of those schools help Tennessee win a championship? I don't see how. Aren't you just increasing the number of championship caliber teams you have to fight against? How about Tennessee's won-lost record when those teams are on the schedule. I would hope for no worse than break even but maybe that's a pipe dream.

So who does this benefit. It benefits Sankey with more power and that's what he's about. It provides a lot more money to the conference and it's teams. So there's a point for how this benefits Tennessee-more money.

So if you are interested in Tennessee on the field, their record, their chance for championships, does the inclusion of Texas and Oklahoma help any of that? If so, I am open minded, but if not, why would you want them to come in?
