Too many prophecies left unfulfilled, complete military tactic malfeasance on both sides, and waaay too many main characters survived.
As far as the White Walkers go, if after 1000's of years of them existing it ends like that then they have truly lost themselves from the book lore. Theon being a hero while Jon "Aegon Prince that was Promised Targarian" Snow is eating a sandwich outside Winterfell and doesn't even fight a single white walker the whole battle.
I love this show and have been a die hard from day one (see avatar), but the decisions made by the writers are really irritating right now.
Also, how the hell did Grey Worm live??
