I am neither a fan of the Eagles or the Patriots. I am a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. I have been since they lost the famous Ice Bowl in Green Bay many years ago. That being said, I watched the Super Bowl last night and found myself enjoying it immensely. Two really talented teams playing and slugging it out for 4 quarters. I was glad that a former UT player got to win a championship and congratulate Derek Barnett on his accomplishment.

I do want to go one step farther and say that to me, this ranks up there as one of the best Super Bowls ever. I would even go so far as to say it is in the top 5.

I would like to now know what others on this board think and I would like for you to share your top 5 Super Bowls of all time. Here are mine in order:

1. Super Bowl III - New York Jets defeat the Baltimore Colts
This was the first Super Bowl where the AFL team defeated the NFL team. Until this game, the NFL teams and fans looked at the AFL like most fans look at the XFL today. Baltimore was a huge favorite to win this game and when Broadway Joe and the Jets came out on top, it changed the landscape of the NFL.

2. Super Bowl LI - New England Patriots defeat the Atlanta Falcons - this is rated number two in my book because you cannot be down 28-3 in the Super Bowl, come back to win in overtime and not be in the top 5 category. It took a touchdown and a 2 point conversion to send it to overtime. Great game.

3. Super Bowl XLI - New York Giants defeat the New England Patriots - New England was 18-0 entering this game. No one thought the Giants would win. Not only did they win, they had one of the greatest catches ever in a game, let alone the Super Bowl in this game.

4. Super Bowl XIII - Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Dallas Cowboys - this was a match up of the two best teams that were Super Bowl rivals. This was a slugfest, going back and forth all game. Terry Bradshaw and Roger Staubach put on a show and the fans who saw this game benefited from it. This was also the game where a Pro Bowl tight end named Jackie Smith dropped a game tying touchdown in the end zone. One of the best agony of defeat shots from a Super Bowl ever.

5. Super Bowl LII - Philadelpia Eagles defeat the New England Patriots - this was simply a great game. You had two really good offenses moving the ball at ease and you had big plays. It came down to a turnover and missed extra points. Also, having a back-up QB win over the GOAT QB is a movie script ending that few really believed would happen.

This is my top 5. Would like to know others top 5. Have a great day!
