Some members here at Volquest have always wanted Jon Gruden to come and take the HC job at UT. Well, he is needing a job now...and he's not too high on anyone's hot board. ESPN can't give him another chance...FOX/CBS likely won't either. Not soon, anyway. But most folks know that the NFL commish targeted Gruden - at least that's what Gruden thinks with his $80M lawsuit against the NFL. Methinks he will not be able to recoup any of his lost salary.
In today's news cycles, fair or not, Gruden getting a "2nd chance" at UT would not amount to much. If Oklamoma sends CJH an insane amount of money, then all the Gruden lovers would move the the edge of their seats; who knows, we might even get him cheap. Worked out for Larson in Nascar; which kinda surprised me. Gruden actually coaching at UT has NEVER seemed like an option to me, but it might just be crazy enough (since March of 2020) for this to actually happen...
