I try not to discuss my problems here, but honestly, this place can be a point of rest for me.
4 weeks ago I was approached at my own business and arrested...seems our former partner, whom we bought out in 2013, had written checks to a vendor during the buyout period...$13k!! They were written on company checks and I only found out when emailing the vendor for a statement to show a zero balance so our accountant could get our books cleared up. I was told I had a zero balance but that 4 checks had been sent to the PA! This was in May of this year and the checks were written in 2013!
So I hired an attorney and he worked the details out with the PA. Because they were company checks, we had to take care of them, even though they were signed by me. Well the clerk that he was dealing with left the PA's office to take another job and the file was given to someone else who made no calls to my attorney to see what was being done and sent it to the courts. So they showed up and arrested me. Two phone calls to my attorney and I was released in less than 30 minutes and while it was all taken care of, it made local news! I WAS PISSED!
Then, this past Friday, my wife's place of business burned! So ready for football!
