I cannot recall a year when going into the season there we so many questions about the pecking order in the SEC. Clearly the only question around AL is can they reload from all the talent they lost and make the playoffs. They certainly have the roster, just not tripping up as the new players gain experience. GA is the other team that looks very good going in. They have been missing QB play since Fromm left and seems like Daniels will give them that. Oddly enough, GA might actually be able to knock both Clemson and AL from the playoffs if things go right for them

From there, there is a big gap, A&M is a program on the rise and I think FL is a solid program, but will miss Trask, Pitts and Toney. I see these two as the next tier. From there take your pick. Only AU, LSU and MO won as many as 5 conference games last season from the rest, and I am not sold that those programs are on solid ground. I think VD is the worst roster in the conference, with maybe SC next in that dubious category. I don't have a good feel for what kind of team MS, MSU, TN, KY, SC, AU, LSU, MO or AR are going to have. Maybe I am putting too much stock in my belief that 2020 was an outlier year that needs to be taken with a grade of slaw. Thoughts from others?
