According to a Feb. 1 email from Sharon Pryse, a UT Board of Trustees member, Hart "had to be strongly convinced" before agreeing to the Lady Vols patch.
In an email chain dated June 22, Pryse wrote to Bart L. Graham that Cheek had "been thrown under the bus by Hart and lots of other situations. But under his leadership UT has made significant strides both academically and as well as with our physical plant."
Graham, according to his LinkedIn profile, has been a member of Tennessee’s athletics board of directors since June 2013 and is the chief financial officer of Quest Capital Corp. in Atlanta.
Later in the same chain of emails, after being asked by Graham how Hart had thrown Cheek under the bus, Pryse wrote: "Lady vols and unwillingness to have any empathy."
Graham replied: "I thought they took the heat on Lady Vols together. Did Dave say that Jimmy pushed the agenda?"
Pryse replied: "No Dave pushed it and only jimmy took the heat."'
