Notre Dame far exceeded their typical hitting. Yes our park is smaller and helps, they had 13 hits while we had 2 errors, good breaks on many too. Blade should've done better in some spots. Last week in a regional with weak pitching ND had 7 8 and 9 hits while scoring 3 6 and 2 runs. They hit 3 HRs total last week vs the same average pitching. I think that's enough
Their pitching held us to 7 hits and 6 runs and 8 LOB. Last week vs Texas Tech GA Southern and Texas Tech they allowed 10 10 and 6 hits across 3 games. We only had 7 tonight along with many well hit balls for outs. We face their ace tomorrow but I don't see it continuing.
In short, they played above their heads, we played poorly and kept it close. If we play average or better like we have most of this year we win and possibly easily.
