If you can't line up and beat your guys 1-1 consistently, then you need someone that can improvise and make plays outside the playbook (ie. Josh Dobbs).
Have a limited playbook if necessary and use some RPOs and plays that get him on the move with easy passes that can turn into scrambles.
UK's offense isn't incredible, but what they do well is getting their most talented players on the field and adapting the offense around what gives those guys the best chance to be successful. They aren't trying to force an offense on players that can't run it.
