I love Coach Barnes and think he did an amazing job this season, but today was a horrible game plan -- either that or our guys simply ignored it.
By my count, we had three drives to the basket by our guards -- 4 points by Bone and a block out of bounds on a Turner drive. Miami must have scored 30 points on layups driving on this team. I said it before the game and it is inexplicable that we didn't try to use our speed to get to the rim.
Great season. Love this team. But we gave a very early Christmas gift to Loyola -- and to Kentucky and Cinn -- by not showing up today and going at this team's weakness.
Don't pick us? Many didn't and they were rewarded for it.
Looking forward to the maturity and growth of this team next season. Tough lesson today.
