How Butch finishes this recruiting class is HUGE. I can only assume its as big an uphill battle as ever to finish in the top 10 and land the few big fish we have on the line.
Getting a proper strength coach. This is a bigtime hire. Some of the injuries are just the nature of the game. But you don't have the level of injuries we have by chance. Maybe you do, but I really don't think so.
Next season needs to be a break-out year. One of those QB's (JG?) needs to take the reigns and be bigtime. NO ONE is going to expect ANYTHING out of the Vols next season, but all the pressure will be on BIGTIME. In my opinion, no less than an SEC title game appearance.
Also, what you do with your coordinators. Tennessee scored 3 points in the second half tonight. 3 points. DeBord does some nice things, but, he is NOT creative in game. Just got out-coached in the second half. And what of Shoop? Where do we even start?? I realize injuries are responsible for much of the run defense deficiencies. But Tennessee got shredded repeatedly through the air, it was as if Stoops presence was essentially worthless. One would think a defensive guru could give his guys some help. The whole Shoop thing has be scratching my head. Bigtime.
