Every year, it seems, there is a game we circle and point to on the schedule as a "must win". This year is no exception. In fact, this seasons GT game may be the biggest of the last 10 years or so with program altering implications.
I just don't see a scenario where we'll have a good season if we come away with a loss. Yes, we could still go 11-1. Yes, we may start the wrong QB, lose as a result, make a change, and recover nicely. Very unlikely.
If we can't beat Tech, it probably means our D is still ka-ka, we're starring 5+ losses square in the face, a probable coaching change, a drop in recruiting, low attendance, apathy, and our new AD will be on the spot.
Conversely, a win, though not necessarily a guarantee, would set us up to have a good season. If we beat Tech, I can see us easily winning 8, perhaps 9 games. The future would be bright.
I think this game is HUGE!
