On paper there are only 3 teams on our schedule that are more talented than us. Bama by a significant margin and Georgia and LSU by a lesser degree. Bama also has a considerable coaching advantage. I am not pinning any bells on Butch but unquestionably there are BIG coaching questions at both Georgia and LSU. Smart stumbled and fumbled trough his first year as head coach and Orgeron was fired in short order at Ole Miss. When you factor in the upgrades to our coaching staff I think it is fair to say that we have a pretty good coaching advantage over Georgia and LSU.
Just my conclusion but with the exception of Bama I think we compare favorably to every other team on our schedule particularly with playing Georgis and LSU at home. Does this mean we 11-0? Probably not but I would argue if we remain reasonably healthy, are well prepared, and play well we should be the better team in all but one game.
