As with any upset of this magnitude, you start with turnovers. They're unpredictable and Tennessee will have to win the TO margin by several. Bennett protects the ball pretty well so I would think it is more likely that we get the ball on the ground.
Specific to this match up, Tennessee will have to win the special teams battle. Kickoff returns have been solid and we could pop one to create a short field and/or a blocked kick could be some big time "easy" points... points will obviously be at a premium against this defense.
Hooker is going to have to be outstanding.
I am mostly concerned with how many sacks we are giving up. A sack against this defense is like a snowball rolling down a hill... That creates down and distances that play into their hand. We have to take a profit when its there and find a way to steal yards. I thought Kentucky's runners were excellent at turning 1 and 2 yard runs into 4 and 5 yard runs... If we can find a little more of that against Georgia, I like our chances much better. 2nd and 8 is a lot worse than 2nd and 6.
Our defense will have to play their best game of the season.
And that's not because this offense is great, because it isn't... But given how little we will score against their defense, it's going to take a big time performance from our own defense. You have to try and make Stetson beat you with his arm. His legs are better than anyone is ever going to give him credit and they have about 100 capable running backs to hand it to...
If we can bottle all this up I could see a 28-24 type win. If we get a non-offensive touchdown I could see it getting into the 30's. Would be the biggest upset of my lifetime, not predicting it, just hoping.
