First off, the real heros are the front line people; the doctors, nurses, officers, EMT’s, et al. Many thanks and much respect to everyone who is battling this virus in the trenches. You guys are truly heros.
I wanted to do my part, so I’ve been giving plasma. I’ve also taken a 3rd shift part time job stocking in one of our local food stores. The shelves have been raided daily for many items such as cleaning supplies, toilet paper/paper towels, canned foods, pet food, and many other things. While it’s nothing glamorous, I wanted to do my part since I knew stores were hurting due to the increased volume. The pic below is half of what we got last night. The yellow line is where we had stock out to. We had already floored about 8 pallets by the time I took the picture.
I confess I needed some extra since our store has been closed, so I hope that doesn’t diminish the thought.
Wondering what others have been able to do to give back during this tough time. I’m sure there are a lot who have contributed, let’s hear it, so we can thank you for your kindness!
