First off we are still a LONG way below GA and Bama’s talent level and have a long way to go specifically defensively and the OL to a real degree. Although we have continued to pretty much own Kentucky at pretty much our historic low point and their historic zenith they have quite a bit of talent and can’t be considered a given win. We’ve got to finish well in the portal and plug in help in multiple areas. But it’s looks to me like we could be quietly trending in a very positive trajectory defensively. The more I think about the Juwan Mitchell knees the more important I think it is. He is a proven quantity on the big stage having been Texas’ leading tackler. If he’s healthy, has got his head screwed on correctly, and bought in its not a question of that being a BIG development it’s how big it can be. Verse would be huge to. Not to mention as badly as we need help and speed on the back end we have safety’s coming back that can help at least some and have some year over year improvement.
