Is the thought really that UT had dozens of Level I violations? Where, other than a flippant comment in January, are we hearing the volume of violations? I haven’t done a deep dive on violations but I would have to think dozens of Level I violations would have to be some kind of record. SMU, when they got the death penalty, had 8.
If there are truly dozens of Level I violations, so be it. Seems like it’s hyperbole when you look at some of the totals that other schools have had in their history. Arizona, with Sean Miller, received 5 Level I charges.
Just seems a little irresponsible to be talking about dozens of Level I violations without actually knowing that. It seems as if that’s very far from the truth if we’re not taking immediate action in terms of self imposing penalties. If we had dozens of Level I violations, or 20-30 more than the most that have been committed previously, you would think that we would have been a lot more proactive in self imposing already.
