I'm interested in getting a Hybrid Bike. I have a road bike now and do not use it enough for the intended purpose. I would like to go for casual rides with my son who is almost 6, along with the occasional 5-10 mile bike ride. Overall, looking for a good reliable bike that I'll have for the next 10 years.
I plan on getting the new bike from a bike shop, but any recommendations on brands (Trek, Giant, Cannondale, Spealized, etc.) that people like would be helpful. I'm overwhelmed by the choices and am planning to spend anywhere from $500 to $900.
