On paper there's nothing wrong with the hire. He might be an asshole, but many very successful people are. I have no idea if he will be good or not, but I find it a little strange that some are up in arms that we didn't hire a guy from FCS with only 4 years, albeit 4 successful years, of experience running an AD or a guy with no experience whatsoever. I'm as skeptical as anyone about our ability to hire anyone at any level, but I don't think this hire screams disaster on first glance.
