We can get guys open vs press coverage. This staff has proven they can scheme to get guys open. Do we have someone that can make the throws? TBD, but at least we know it’s not a scheme issue.
Loved our sudden change defense. 2nd quarter D was bad, but we have improved a lot on that side of the ball and that’s not debatable IMO. We are organized, and look like we know what we are trying to do.
Put on more steam, carry the fight for sixty minutes. Check and check.
Many on this board said we are a QB away from being a 7 or 8 win team. I thought they were crazy. I was wrong. Hopefully Hooker is the guy or hopefully Milton can get his ish together. Don’t think Bailey is playing strictly because of our OL inadequacies and his lack of mobility. Don’t know what our rushing totals would have been without Hooker and Milton but pretty sure they would have been horrendous. CJH ran a pretty good offense with Drew Lock who was basically a statue but I think this staff feels they can scheme around Milton’s and Hooker’s strengths/weaknesses better than Bailey’s.
Quality depth remains a huge concern and the only thing that fixes that is recruiting and the portal. That takes time. I’m willing to to be patient and positive. We need it.
