After the Hurd fumble in the GA game, Butched screamed at Hurd,"hold on to the damn ball." Hurd pouts for a long time but re-enters the game later and scores a TD. As Hurd came to the sidelines he walked by a coach and said,"stick that up your ass." That led to Hurd missing a lot of that game and being out in some of the future games. He said Hurd missing time had nothing to do with any injuries, but was due to his mouth, and attitude, even in the weeks afterward. He said Hurd became more of a cancer as weeks went on and team morale reflected it. He said Hurd would not be missed by most players but that a few who lack playing time will use it as an opportunity. I got this straight from someone who has been with the program for many years.
