I know CBJ is getting roasted for not trying for a FG on what ended up being Tennessee's final Offensive play. I had no problem with going for the TD at that point and was thinking it was the right call while it was happening. We were there and they were moving the ball and the energy felt good.
They needed a TD, 2-point conversion and a FG to tie. Get the TD and conversion then you know that you can tie it with a long FG after an onside.
I did think they should've been pushing it more downfield but that would've been the challenge whether they went for the TD first or last. Poor clock management on that drive was my bigger concern. Poor awareness of where the marker was for the 1st Down but at that point the clock had really dwindled anyway.
