Couldn’t win any close games this year. We either win by a lot or lose a close game. When Perdue started faking injuries and slowing us down I knew it was over. All teams have done that and it has caused our offense to sputter. We had multiple times we could have put the game away and defense stepped up but the offense couldn’t answer. Teams will just keep doing it and it will keep working. Will have to find a way to combat it.
Also, all these close games Heupel has struggled with clock management. Can score in a hurry during the course of the game but with 1 min and time outs left he seems to run a slower offense and refuses to use a timeout. Also, play calling has not been great in final minutes of games. Hopefully we work on short yardage plays more this off season.
